Cradled Wood Panels
A Cradled Wood Panel is a wooden frame with a board attached to it.
The durable wooden structure accepts almost any medium and can prevent paintings from warping over time.
They come in all shapes and sizes.
Bracing on panels are generally added to larger sizes. This is not needed on smaller panels.
The cradled wooden panel will last longer since it resists flexing, stretching, and warping.
You can hang your final work without a frame when using a cradled panel.
When your artwork is completed, you can easily hang it using a single nail or screw.
I hang my small paintings using steel push pins with a long throw.
As my panels get larger I use D rings with wire.
